We're a startup PR agency for founders starting a business, crowdfunding, raising investment or finding their first customers. We help you tell a story people understand and give journalists a reason to pay attention.
I'm Alison. From Colchester, Essex, we work with founders across the UK. We'll begin with what you need your PR to achieve, then agree a focus that suits your stage and resources.

What start-up PR does for you
You don't need to be everywhere. You need to reach the people who matter to your next step. We can help you:
- Explain your launch or crowdfunding campaign clearly, so people understand what you're building and why it matters.
- Reach potential customers through stories in the publications they read, giving them a reason to find out more.
- Give journalists useful news, informed commentary and a founder they can speak to.
- Identify relevant influencers and reviewers, and build relationships around your product.
- Build a credible public story that supports conversations with potential investors.
- Connect your press activity with your social channels, so coverage becomes part of an ongoing conversation.

When should a start-up hire a PR agency?
Talk to us when you have a clear idea of your audience and a milestone to work towards, such as a launch, crowdfunding campaign or funding announcement. Involving us before the announcement gives us time to shape the story and prepare the materials journalists will need.
How much does PR for a start-up cost?
The scope depends on your goals, the work involved and the time available. We'll discuss those with you before proposing a plan and fee. Our guide explains what to consider when comparing PR budgets. Read our guide to how much PR should cost.
Do I need a retainer or a project?
A defined launch or crowdfunding campaign may suit a project. If you need ongoing media relationships and a regular founder profile, a retainer may be a better fit. We'll talk through your priorities and agree the scope together.
How quickly will we get media coverage?
That depends on the strength of the story, the news agenda and each publication's schedule. Journalists decide whether and when to publish. We'll agree an outreach plan and keep you informed, but we won't promise coverage or a publication date.
Do you work with start-ups outside Essex?
Yes. We work with founders across the UK. We can meet online and plan the work around your audience and business, wherever you're based.
How do I choose the best PR agency for startups?
Look for relevant client stories, a clear explanation of the work and someone who asks about your business before suggesting tactics. Ask who you'll work with, how progress will be reviewed and what the proposed scope includes. A discovery call is a chance for us both to see whether we're a good fit.
