How Adia PR collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use www.adiapr.co.uk or www.howtodoyourownpr.co.uk (the “Sites”).
Adia PR Limited is the Data Controller under UK GDPR. We use the data we hold to improve your experience, we believe in communicating with you directly, and you stay in control of your contact preferences at all times. You must be 13 or over to use the Sites.
We promise to be transparent about what we collect, to use your data only for the purposes we’ve explained, to keep it accurate, not to hold it longer than necessary, to keep it secure, to explain your privacy rights clearly, and to respond promptly to any concern. In short: we treat your information as if it were our own.
We only collect and use your data where you have given us permission, or where we have a lawful basis to do so.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to unsubscribe from our communications, to object to marketing profiling, to restrict how we process your information, to be forgotten (permanent deletion), to data portability, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise any of these rights, emailinfo@adiapr.co.uk.
We collect information when you visit the Sites (via cookies), make a purchase, meet us in person, complete a contact form, are referred to us, or from public sources such as Companies House. This can include your name, job title and contact details; demographic information; photography or video taken with consent at events; and, for clients, financial and contract information.
We use it to respond to enquiries, fulfil contracts, send relevant service information where you’ve consented, optimise the Sites, enable interactive features, notify you of changes, and protect against illegal activity. We never sell your data.
We share information only where it’s necessary to deliver a service, where you ask us to, or where the law requires it, for example with trusted IT and system-administration providers, who are held to the same standards required by UK law. Some processing may take place outside the EEA under equivalent protections.
We protect your data with encryption, access controls, security certificates and regular monitoring. Transaction records are kept for six years after our relationship ends; otherwise we keep information only as long as necessary.
We process Communication, Customer, User, Technical and Marketing data on the basis of your consent, our legitimate business interests, the performance of a contract, or our legal obligations.
We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, political opinions, union membership, or health, genetic or biometric data), nor information about criminal convictions.
We use traffic-log cookies to understand which pages are used and to analyse Site traffic. You can accept or decline cookies via the popup shown on your first visit. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
