Olympic Winning Strategies for Business Success

Our client Will It Make The Boat Go Faster? invited businesses to join them for a day of High Performance training at The Etihad Stadium, home to Manchester City Football Club.

The unique and inspiring event "Olympic Winning Strategies for Business Success" was hosted by Ben Hunt-Davis MBE, Olympic gold medallist and co-founder of Will It Make the Boat Go Faster?.

Ben presented his award winning keynote speech and attendees were then invited to attend breakout sessions focused on:

  • High Performance Teams, led by Harriet Beveridge (Head of Performance Programmes)
  • High Performance Conversations, led by Jamie MacPherson (Senior Performance Consultant)
  • The Performance Mindset, led by Ben Hunt-Davis

Eamonn Tierney, Managing Director of WEX Europe Services, also shared his experience of the performance work his company did with the Will It? team.

The fantastic thing about having such world-class experts as clients is that my team and I get to learn from them - fantastic ideas and advice that we can implement at Adia PR.  I was also excited to hold Ben's gold medal that he won at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 (Men's 8 rowing team).  My dream growing up was to be an Olympic athlete (hurdler) - whilst that dream didn't come to fruition (at least not yet), my sport taught me so many valuable lessons that I have instinctively used in my business/entrepreneurial life.

If you'd like to learn more, I highly recommend you the eponymous book written by Ben and his colleague Harriet Beveridge.
